After more than a decade of personal and professional coding, in July 2021, I finally took the step to release several Android apps under my developer identity maxeoneo. Here’s the rundown:
- Diebstahl‑Schützer – anti‑theft alarm triggers when USB is unplugged
- Rolling Dice – shake to roll virtual dice
- ACalc – minimal calculator for quick arithmetic
🚧 The process:
- Signed up for Google Play Console
- Prepared app icons, descriptions, screenshots
- Generated APKs, signed and optimized them
- Submitted each via the console
- Got them live!
It felt empowering — each app is a small milestone marking a full-circle moment from my 2013 roots to today.
Looking ahead: I will probably never add analytics, or some form of monetization (I mean who would pay for that?), or improve UX. I'll just try to update them to the newest SDK version so that I still can publish updates in the Play Store.
